The other side will come here in September and offer a very different set of policies and positions, and that is a debate I look forward to. It is a debate the American people deserve. But what you don’t deserve is another election that’s governed by fear, and innuendo, and division. What you won’t hear from this campaign or this party is the kind of politics that uses religion as a wedge, and patriotism as a bludgeon - that sees our opponents not as competitors to challenge, but enemies to demonize. Because we may call ourselves Democrats and Republicans, but we are Americans first. We are always Americans first.
Barack Obama - June 3rd 2008
As we all know by now, Barack Obama has finally won the Democratic Nomination. His speech two nights ago was about an inch away from amazing and brought tears to many peoples’ eyes. He thanks the world and goes on to open up a can of worms that people could hardly hold back from destroying, and it’s really quite sad. Yesterday, when Whitfield came on to let me know that he had won and that he had an extremely powerful speech that had to be listened to the first thing I did was jump on google and try to track it down. Boy was I furious when the first links I found were not praise, congratulatory or even mildly accepting… instead what I saw was ignorance and rage being channeled into his statements.

Super Delegates Power
(No Ratings Yet) Loading ...As the controversy continues, around Obama’s electability, I find myself getting more irritated than in previous elections. The continued battering of Obama is just another example of how our electoral system has corrupted to the point that it is no longer useful. I am still a bit confused about what qualifications would make any candidate who had not previously served in the presidency electable. Just as no one in the IT industry can really know how to manage an entire company without managing an entire company, running a country is unique. With our two term limits, the only candidates that are capable of running the country are those that are no longer electable.
If George W. Bush can do it, anyone fucking can.
