Recommended Reading
I do a lot of reading, this is no secret. There are few things in this world that bring adventure and insight to my world that books are a welcomed release from the day to day coding “adventures” I go on. I received an email in early February asking for what books I read, and if there are any articles that have been written or would like to recommend, and unfortunately at that time I didn’t have the list compiled, nor did I have the time to really put it together. Over the last 4 months I have been pulling my library together and compiling bookmarks to articles from all over the net, and so here we go. I am going to be doing a book of the week, released on Friday evenings and probably some sort of regular release of articles because of the plethora of articles on the web that I read, I’ll be adding those as well. Look for some very interesting reads in the near future.
If It’s about anything in the cosmos, It’s game. That said, I am confident in recommending that everyone take part in this journey and begin reading the following articles…
- Dreaming In Code
- Evolutionary Design
- Hackers & Painters
- Pro Ogre3D Development
- The Hitchhikers Guide
- Yes, but what have you “done”?
- Death By Black Hole
- The Cosmic Perspective
- Reefer Madness
- The God Delusion
- God is Not Great
- jQuery in Action
- Joel on Software
- More Joel on Software
- Beginning CakePHP
- Effective C++
- More Effective C++
- The Lord of the Ring - The Fellowship of the Ring
