New Schedule…

I have been testing out QCodo over the last week and a half with nothing more than a smile on my face when things are created when I tell them to be, and it reminded me of my old days, when I wrote applications from scratch always and wasted who knows how much time trying to create queries and fold data into a format that I was interested in, and of all the things I could do with myself, I never once felt that I was doing too much work…

User registration is opened up again.

I have been toying around with the user system over the last few months, trying to get spammers to lose interest and unfortunately, It’s not working. In an effort to try to increase the commenting on this mo fo I am going to be opening up enrollment and allowing email confirmation again. Feel free to post at your leisure, but keep an eye out because the lockdown may soon be felt on the rest of the site. Read the rest of this entry »

the time to debate was then

As time goes on, and my understanding of the world expands I have only become more firm in my refusal to accept any or god as the one true one. Call me a blasphemer or a fool as you wish, but I really find no to worry, because if you are a person of true convictions and open mind as many religious people state, than you are just as confused about the world and its gnomes driving it as I am. You just take things a step further and attribute this lack of understanding to a, singular, all true, all knowing, and egocentric god.

Responsiveness

Below you will find a picture of one of the greatest examples of terrible User Interface. I can easily find better things to do with myself than wait for a computer interface to update. I worked at longs for nearly three years, and after about 2 weeks of checking I was the fastest in the entire store. I was known for this and with little failure I could get a line of 3+ people clear, paid and out the door in a handful of minutes.

White Commencement Story - Take 2

I stood before my fellow specialists. Our only purpose was to remove you from yours. So much had been forfeit by us in order to get to this level and actually see something come to fruition. We were the elite; the proud; the few. I stood with my team, knowing that not all of us would be going home, and even those who do get out of this hell may not be as well off as those who choose to die.

I stood before fifteen men and women. You could tell we were hard. a couple of us had our smiles tattooed on, the rest straight faced. We had camo painted all over our bare skin, the rest covered in various levels of body armor and or weaponry. Tadpole, our elite frogman, carried the least pf any of us; no body armor, a 40 minute compact rebreather, a Glock 18C, seven individual pounds of c4, primer cord, and a tac light for his usual load-out. This mission called for him to bring in his favorite weapon… his XM-8.

Perfection - 02/10/03

I have stopped believing in perfection
My quest for it has taken too many turns
It is a thing that will only appear in my dreams
I only hope for the strength to stop chasing what does not exist

My life is about as far from perfect as it can get.
I fight with someone, sometime, and never,
No one understands me as I wish to be understood
And god forgive that I make a mistake

My goals are as well, horribly flawed
I live by the dream of get the car, get the girl, live like that for eternity
Doesn’t work. I have the car, haven’t quite found the girl
And eternity is looking far too long to endeavor towards, blindly

If only I had a pillar on which to stand on
Something for stability, and assistance
Something to warn me of on-coming bad times
And something to cherish in the good times as well

I think what I am asking for is someone special
Someone who is willing to support me in my life
And be there to comfort me in my dreams
As I tire of my quest, and eventually collapse into her arms.

White Commencement Story - Take 1

All of our days were numbered, we all knew this…
…it was just a matter of time until they wore us down.

There has been a lot of speculation about the events leading up to today. Some have grown to believe that we struck first, maybe even that we provoked them. All bullshit, I was there on the first day, there was nothing we could do to fend them off. It was a massacre; all I could do was save a couple of the guys I knew… I barely got my own ass out of harms way. Fuck that shit…

and fuck them.

In the works at gneu…

& Ogre are the clear victors in this race. I have been juggling a website that is nearing completion and release, so I have the pleasure of being able to free up some of my time and devote it to making those cool little videos to scraps of techno music that I have found lying around the webs.

Gneu Updates - Bring on the Ogre

wiki.png

It’s been a long summer, and I have been quite a busy bee, so please bear with me as we go through the updates to Gneu over the last 3 months.

General

I turned 24 in may and made the choice to get my life straightened out and headed in the direction I have known it was supposed to be going for quite some time. I am a programmer at heart and intend on making an impact in a few lives by the time my carpals and tunnels give way to old age. My route is going to be game and as such I have been moving, steadily, towards understanding game engines and architecture in ways I had no idea about only months ago.
