sQL Server Reporting Services, Microsoft at its best

I have had my own reasons for not following along the MS bandwagon - Open source hostile, Expensive (far from free), but most of all, they appeal to the wrong folks - Suits. I am sitting in a class on MSSQL Server Reporting Services, and boy was I amazed when I found that there was a new application link called, and mind you I’m not kidding here, SQL Server Business Intelligence Studio, and guess where it links? Directly to MSVS, no changes at all to the interface. Heh. Who would have known that MSVS was actually directing Business Intelligence? Certainly not me.

Database Module v 0.8.3

Attached is a version of the database interaction classes that we here at gneu use when working on specialty built applications, and also on the application that our name is added to . I suggest you check out the PDF, which documents the usage of the application, and get yourself a little to get crazy with.

Enjoy

Update 5/13/07:
I have included a set of unfinished functions to add in to control error checking better and fight SQL injection.

The most recent version of this tool will always be available as a part of .

Release Tonight - DB Class

As well as this week has gone, I am planning a release of the db module this evening. I am currently working on the documentation and will plan to do the release around 8pm, assuming I get the documentation done. I have a busy couple days ahead of me, but I will do what I can to make sure I’m not AWOL.

Ill be in touch.

Audrey is nearly complete.

I am about 4 functions away from having her fleshed out, and its been rather interesting to solve some of the more influential issues, which ill go into more detail about at a later time. So far the following are working, and I consider myself to have done it rather well.

  • Users
    • Register (Create)
    • Edit
  • Project
    • Register (Create)
    • Listing
    • Edit
    • List tasks
    • Create Tasks

Bring on the email!

this past week I have probably received the most emails than any other with this site functioning. Everyone is absolutely amazing, and from the input that I got, you may have noticed a few changes to the site… nudge nudge wink wink. I had originally gone with the red colored layout but I had a few people tell me they didn’t like it, but with this new group of folks who actually email, I am newly driven to continue my redness. I also turned on the fixed width page layout, mainly to appease some of the more vocal users who are not registering… If you are looking for the original layout, I moved its colors over to this as well, and It’s ready to roll. Only catch is that you have to login if you want to use it. There is a new link up top as well, that forwards you to a new page that will eventually become a full listing of everything that I have released on gneu.org or its subsidiaries. I hope that all helps you guys, and where there are issues, please, don’t be shy. I don’t bite, any more.

For those of you who are on that myspace garbage, I have again opened up my acct in order to keep in touch with a few of my long time friends that i really can’t do without. and will be open for discussion as to how it gets skinned in the near future.

I will be around, preparing my db classes/framework for release in the coming two days.

Keep your eyes open.

thar be Framewarks hyar?

this weekend I was in a limbo, bouncing in-between coding and studying for my final, which I aced thank you… All of the work I put into the event system back in the day was finally brought to fruition, allowing me to build an entire module in only an hour. The OOP module system that I put together, while far from flawless, has more than served its purpose in speeding up my and allowing me to stay true to the charges I had made back in December. The question is, when will I be done with Audrey, or more so, when will she be done with me?

Gneu Manager Updates

I just finished adding projects being able to be created, and listed! Yay, im ahead of schedule. I have a week to pull together some of the more intricate items, and do some error checking and then im done. Projects are working! Users are working! Three cheers for speed.

I’m even thinking about adding tasks to the listing, which shouldn’t be too difficult.

Dillism - The pursuit of happiness

the truth remains quite a disparity; there are still only two types of people in the world. Those who do and those who don’t; those who read and those who apparently don’t know they can’t because they haven’t yet realized it… I am frightened to hear that there are yet more and more of these dualities coming to light and none of them really make for much healthy discourse. Many of these are opinions on many “political” issues such as freedom of speech or .
